At Carolyn's K9 Retreat, we are thrilled to introduce Study Hall small group training on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9AM to 2PM. We understand that every dog owner wants their furry friend to be well-behaved and obedient, and that's where we come in.
Study Hall is a unique, daycare-integrated dog training program established to support dogs in our kennel-free canine community. Study Hall training goes beyond basic obedience to provide individualized support for a range of behavioral challenges, including social skills with other dogs, pack manners in our high-stimulus group environment, building confidence with new people or dogs, and building peace of mind in new environments.

How do I enroll my dog in Study Hall?
You can book Study Hall sessions by calling or texting us at the Retreat, or by making a reservation directly through Gingr.
What type of dog training happens at Study Hall?
Our training approach focuss on positive reinforcement and compassionate understanding of dog behavior. We combine basic obedience (including sit, stay, down, and recall) with social skills and targeted training for your dog's specific needs and abilities. Study Hall is also excellent socialization for your pup, as our community setting focuses on good pack behavior with other dogs, as well as all the different members of our staff.
How can I reinforce Study Hall at home? What commands do you use?
At the end of every Study Hall session, we will send you a progress report detailing what we worked on that day, and what you can do to continue your dog's training at home. We also provide educational videos detailing our Study Hall process, and how you can replicate our training at home. Additionally, our training staff is available for one-on-one conversations at pick-up between 2PM and 3PM on Study Hall days, and on the phone by appointment.
How will this work with other training my dog has had?
Our personalized training plan will incorporate any previous and on-going training elsewhere to best support your dog's learning and growth.
When do I drop off and pick up my dog for Study Hall?
Study Hall runs from 9AM to 2PM, and all Study Hall dogs must be present for those hours. Drop off for Study Hall begins at 6AM with no additional charge. Study Hall pickup after 3PM comes with an additional Playdate charge.
